How Does BOTOX Work?

BOTOX works by relaxing the muscles beneath your wrinkles. It reduces muscle movement to keep lines and wrinkles away, but you can still move your face and will look completely natural. In the underarms, BOTOX works by temporarily switching off your sweat glands in that area.

Are There Any Side-Effects After BOTOX Treatment?

As with all injections, there’s a risk of mild swelling and bruising. However, it typically recedes after a couple of days. To diminish swelling, we recommend ice packs. You can also take arnica, a natural bruise reducer. Avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba for one week prior to, and one week after, your BOTOX treatment.
